On The Horizon: The Dead C. - Armed Courage
There's no one more excited than me that The Dead C are experiencing a late-career renaissance with fantastic re-issues on the Ba Da Bing! and Siltbreeze labels, a split release featuring archival with Rangda and the first magazine cover story (The Wire) in the band's 20+ year history. In addition to the much needed reappraisals of their back catalog the Dead C have also been quietly releasing some of their best new music in ages starting with 2009's Secret Earth and 2010's all-instrumental Patience. After a bit of a lay-off the Dead C will be back on September 3rd with Armed Courage a new release featuring 2 extended pieces that harken back to the Harsh 70's Reality days while still evolving and moving the Dead C agenda forward. After some misguided forays into electronic music in the early 2000's it seems the Dead C are back to doing what they do best: making a huge fucking racket. When it comes to extended noise improvs no one does it quite like they do.

It's back!
Hello everyone, long time no speak!
Decrepit Tapes is back... again. I am eager to start posting again and to once again share the nuggets of joy I have uncovered during my travels.
I do not fault you if you approach any commitment I make to posting with some degree of skepticism... HOWEVER... I must assure you all that I am now unemployed (for the time being) and now have a great deal of free time on my hands.
Look forward to new posts very soon!
A quick sidebar: Does anyone know how to work around this awful compression that Blogger puts on uploaded images? I've tried everything and it makes it all look super pixelated and awful. Any help would be appreciated!
Welcome Back / Greetings From Cowtown
After what can only be called an insanely long hiatus Decrepit Tapes is back with a new podcast about the amazing esoteric music that has come from Columbus, Ohio over these past few decades. This podcast was inspired in part by the fine folks at IndieTorrents and thank you to some of it's members for contributing some of this material.
More podcasts will be on the way and some will include commentary and stay tuned for a bunch of other features.

Podcast for 6.5.11 - Robert Pollard

After a substantial delay caused by computer issues the Robert Pollard podcast is finally ready for your listening pleasure. This particular podcast features between track commentary from yours truly. My hope is that people who have previously written off Bob's post-GBV solo career will find something to love and will investigate some of his newer material further. Feedback on how future podcasts could be improved is always appreciated.
